She Would Do That

Part of a series of paintings delving in the process of mark making as a language. The marks speak for the layer in which they exist. The darker colors in the rear are receding from the fiery orange and reds which too give way to the glowing yellow in the foreground. Emotion brings these marks to life and the little strokes of yellow are like a voice crying out. The wooden slats keep the entire piece from coming together in an explosion and create just enough distance that the fire might actually put itself out.

Available as a Limited Edition giclée printing of 100. Print arrives numbered, signed with a letter of authenticity.
